After the Oilers ended their road trip in Dallas, Teemu Hartikainen and Josh Green were sent back to OKC. Those moves didn’t really come as any surprise. With a couple of injuries on the team, I was a little interested in who would be coming back up.
We’ve gotten our answer.
Just minutes ago, the team announced that Magnus Paajarvi and Ryan O’Marra have been called up, and Gilbert Brule has been placed on re-entry waivers.
Paajarvi has responded well to his stint in OKC. Ten games in, he’s got nine points (1-8-9). Would like to see him get some third line minutes, but he became pretty familiar with the fourth line before he got assigned.
BRULE, YOU SAY?
Out of all the call-ups, I didn’t expect Brule’s name to be tipped. O’Marra and Brule. Are they going to sit one, play the other? Does this silently speak more about Jordan Eberle’s injury than I’d like to know?
This all becomes moot if another team lays a claim for Brule, which would cost half of 1.85M, or …942.5K.
We’ll know more in just a little while.
