Oilers Assign Magnus Paajarvi to OKC

In a move that comes as no surprise to many, the Oilers have assigned 2009 first round pick Magnus Paajarvi to the Oklahoma City Barons.

To say ‘sophomore slump’ is probably a wee bit of an understatement.  Paajarvi has been having a nightmare season so far; he has just three assists and minus 2 (and no goals) in 25 games this season with the Oilers.  While it’s likely somewhat a blow to the young Swede’s confidence, he’ll be afforded the opportunity to score some goals and regain his touch in OKC for what is hopefully a short stint.
