Ryan Smyth – Ryan Nugent-Hopkins – Jordan Eberle
Magnus Paajarvi – Sam Gagner – Ales Hemsky
Taylor Hall – Shawn Horcoff – Ryan Jones
Anton Lander – Eric Belanger – Ben Eager
Ladislav Smid – Tom Gilbert
Theo Peckham – Jeff Petry
Taylor Chorney – Colten Teubert
So what do we have here?
- The Kid Line has been shook down. Taylor Hall will play tonight with Horcoff and Ryan Jones on line three, while Ryan Smyth gets promoted to the first line with Nugent-Hopkins and Jordan Eberle. Smyth has been the most productive Oiler up to today, scoring eighteen points in eighteen games. I predicted Ryan Smyth’s point total to fall somewhere in the forties this year, he’s well on his way to eclipsing that number as we speak.
- SHAKE IT UP – In an effort to jump Magnus Paajarvi’s point totals through the roof, he’s playing alongside Sam Gagner and Ales Hemsky. Getting him a goal would be a good start. Eric Belanger will visit the fourth line for the first time this year, playing alongside Anton Lander (centre moved to left) and Ben Eager (who played left all season and is moved to right). Darcy Hordichuk and Lennart Petrell are expected to be scratches this evening.
- We all saw Chorney and Teubert coming up from OKC yesterday. Today we see them together on a line.
- Nikolai Khabibulin will try and right this four game ship the Oilers have been on. Pretend it’s October and everything will be fine.
