Oilers Go Green…Again

The Edmonton Oilers have come to terms with forward Josh Green on a one year, two way contract.

The 33 year old Green was a second round pick of the LA Kings in 1996.  He appeared in twelve games in 2010-11 with the Anaheim Ducks.  Fans will remember Green from his first tour of duty with Edmonton from 2000-2003 when he appeared in 81 regular season contracts.

Green finished with 46 points with Syracuse (15-31-46) and 74 PIM in 69 GP.

It’s a depth signing that will likely see him start the season in OKC.  Should injuries arise, it’s nice to know that you have a guy with some NHL experience waiting in the wings.
