The Cellar And The Ceiling

A tale of two cities.

This year’s President’s Trophy winning Vancouver Canucks will tonight host the Edmonton Oilers, who are not this year’s President’s Trophy winners.  What could possibly go wrong?

And here we go…

  • Tonight’s matchup between the Edmonton Oilers and the Vancouver Canucks will be the fifth time out of six that the teams get together.  Surprisingly, Vancouver is 4-0 on the season so far.
  • It can’t get much worse for your Oilers.  They’re 0-7-3 in their last ten, and I’m being told by my staff that the Oilers play Vancouver again early next week.  Easiest four points in the world, guys.  No sweat.  Kurtis Foster will return to the lineup tonight after being out with an upper body injury the past ten days.  Jason Strudwick will be the odd man out tonight.

  • Pick yourself a Sedin twin.  One has 100 points, and the other 91.  Daniel currently leads the Canucks with 100 points so far on the season (41G-59A) in 78 games.  Oilers will need to keep a couple of eyes out on the first Canuck line in order to have any chance tonight.
  • Corey Schneider gets the go for Vancouver between the wickets, while Devan Dubnyk will save us from the wolves.

Let’s all have fun out there tonight.

Enjoy the game, and GOILERS!
