Edmonton looks to string two consecutive victories together with a victory tonight.
The opponent? Montréal.
Hope Khabibulin’s good and limber.

And here we go…
- Nikolai Khabibulin turned in a solid performance against the Stars on Tuesday night. He’ll play a formidable offence in the likes of the Canadiens, who are surely a bit surly after dropping a shootout loss against the streaky Buffalo Sabres.
- Tomas Plekanec is Montréal’s leading scorer with 46 points (19G-27A) in 57 games.
- Same as it ever was: Renney is rolling with the same roster as the Dallas game. If only the Oilers could play Dallas 25 more times this season, there’s a 48% chance the Oilers could land the 8-seed. Yeah. That’s it exactly.
- Expecting another Carey Price effort tonight. Price was in between the pipes for Montréal’s 3-2 SO loss in Buffalo, and I’m sure he’ll be eager to lay claim to two points.
But not tonight, Habs. This is Edmonton’s night. I don’t care how many guys you have in the stands that remember the 1965 Cup run. Tonight, the Oilers feast.
Probably on Kraft Dinner, but tonight, we feast.
Most important, can we have more fans cheer in the stands for our squad compared to les enfants who chant some Bouncing Souls tune?
Enjoy the game, and GOILERS!
