Avs' Craig Anderson Taking Personal Leave? Let Me Suggest Someone...

Adrian Dater of All Things Avs reports that goaltender Craig Anderson has taken a personal leave of absence from the team.

While it’s unclear why Anderson is taking time off (it’s personal, remember?), allow me to suggest someone to fill in for the time.

Colorado is currently seven points out of a playoff spot, languishing in 14th place in the West.  I’m sure they’re looking for someone to stand in front of Peter Budaj on the depth chart.  Here’s your guy, Avalanche.  It’s Nikolai Khabibulin.  He won a cup in Tampa in 2004.  You guys have a couple of those things.  Maybe if you get this guy in the room, you can add your cups together.

He’s yours for the right price.  All’s it takes to land our team MVP is Brandon YipRyan Wilson. a beanbag chair and some Dannon yogourt.

And some of that glitter on the backs of your numbers, that stuff is cool.  What do you call it?  ‘Glacier twill’?

What do you say, Colorado.  You’ve got that Peter Forsberg thing going for you.  I’ve got a goalie that’s just a couple years older than him.

Do we have a deal?
