Put your pants on.
The Oilers have recalled winger Linus Omark and centre Ryan O’Marra from Oklahoma City.
You might remember Linus Omark as the speed blip on the radar who scored five goals and the shootout winner in OKC this season against the Marlies. Perhaps you remember Omark as the guy who narrowly missed the cut this year amid much frustration.
However you remember him, it’s time to get a look at him Friday night versus Tampa Bay. He’s currently leading the OKC Barons in points (13G-13A in 26 games), and if nothing else, it’s a good story to see him called up after utterly deflated after being sent down at the beginning of the season.
Centre Ryan O’Marra will also be making the trip with Omark. O’Marra was on the big club last year for a real quick cup of coffee appearing in three games. O’Marra has fourteen points (1G-13A) so far this season in OKC.
The calling up of Omark leads me to believe that Hemsky’s return may be delayed further than we hope for, as is O’Marra for Horcoff.
