Things to look for

  • Tonight, Devan Dubnyk gets thrown to the wolves in his second start of the season.  You may remember Devan Dubnyk from such memorable sports moments as “Playing Mop-Up in Carolina“.  Khabibulin has started all but one game played so far this season.  In other words, it’s high time Dubnyk got some action.
  • The Oilers are expected to ice the same squad as last night’s game in Detroit.  There will be seven defenders, and Steve MacIntyre there will not be.
  • Martin Brodeur and Brian Rolston are back in the lineup for the Devils, while Jamie Langenbrunner will sit tonight from an injury sustained in a game versus Buffalo on Wednesday.  Brodeur had missed the last couple of games with an elbow injury, while Rafalski is coming back from a sports hernia.
  • Jason Arnott, Langenbrunner and Patrick Elias are New Jersey’s leading scorers so far this year with nine points each
