So what’s to watch?

  • Andrew Cogliano is on the top line tonight flanked by Eberle and Penner.  Watch to see how he performs at the dot, as he’ll likely have more than his fair share of opportunities.
  • The battle for backup will conclude tonight, at least until the regular season.  I’d wager that Dubnyk makes the final cut, but then again, I thought Gerber had a legit shot to hang out in the NHL after his preseason.
  • I’m not sure what’s going on the fourth line – I am a little bit surprised that Liam Reddox isn’t out there again.
  • Although I don’t see Petiot hanging out for the regular season, I’d have no problems keeping him on the big club.  His play during this preseason has been better than adequate, and if someone like Strudwick has an injuy issue this year, look for a quick return.

Enjoy the game.  They all count after this one.
