Some things to look for:

  • The return of Nikolai Khabibulin has come.  As Gene Principe tweeted yesterday, November was the last time most humans saw goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin anywhere near an ice rink.  Tonight, he’ll get his first taste of game action since last November.  It’s unclear whether or not he’ll play the entire game or just one half, but it will most definitely be interesting to see how it pans out.
  • Jared Aulin is in the lineup for the first time this preseason.  Aulin was a training camp invite, so you know he’ll be pushing all the buttons he can in tonight’s contest as the 3C.
  • Taylor Hall is again on line one, this time next to Horcoff and Jordan Eberle.  Magnus Paajarvi will sit tonight’s game after his bombastic output on Thursday night.
  • Former Oiler Raffi Torres will be on Vancouver’s second line tonight.

Enjoy the game.

Those who are in the States tonight will be treated to the game live on the NHL Network.

Those who are in Canada will be treated to an old Rangers / Islanders game at the same time slot on the NHL Network.
