Our first poll at Oil On Whyte has concluded, and the readers have spoken.
All of the scientific data has been collected in a very scientific manner (e.g; we had a poll, and you voted).
Readers were asked who they thought would be between the pipes for the first game of the 2010-11 season.
And the readers chose…
Science!
No, wait. The readers chose…
Devan Dubnyk!
55% of respondents felt that Dubnyk will be the number one guy come that fateful Thursday night. Dubnyk isn’t a bad choice at all, considering all the whatnots and uncertainty surrounding Nikolai Khabibulin.
Just over a third said Khabibulin would be in the saddle for Game 1, and around ten per cent said Jeff Deslauriers would be the go-to guy on Day 1.
Another poll will be coming up soon this week. Tonight, we’ll take a quick look at yesterday’s Oilers / Canucks YoungStars Game in Penticton where (even an extremely choppy feed wasn’t enough to keep many from watching) the Youthful Oilers defeated the Youthful Canucks by a score of 4-1.
Stay tuned.
